Wildlife Treasury cards were released between 1975 and 1981 and like Atlas Editions cards they were available through mail subscription only. These cards were sent to buyers in "decks" every month and there were over 1000 cards in all, but the exact number of cards is not known at present. When you began the subscription they sent a large grouping of all cards that were released up to the point that you joined and also they included the first Green Plastic Bin or Tray for storage (A true complete sets seems to fill 2 of these, so 1 full box is not a complete set!) You may remember the commercials for these cards, probably the most publicized of all the subscription card sets because of that commercial with seemingly ran for years and years in the late 1970s/early 1980s with the more-than-slightly too excited kid getting his new cards in the mail. Most other subscription card sets were advertised in magazines more-so than commercials. The cards are copyrighted Leisure Books Ltd 1975 and there are both USA and Canadian versions of this set available. The US set has cards with sharp, square corners and the card back has a card set/card number in the bottom right corner. The Canadian set is distinguished by the Copyright line, which says Leisure Books Ltd, 1975, Printed in Canada and the Canadian cards also have ROUNDED corners making them easy to distinguish from the U.S. Cards. The Canadian cards are all unnumbered as well, however the card sizes, pictures and write-ups are all identical between the 2 sets and all the same cards, dividers and categories were included in both.

The U.S. Set came with green plastic bins that look somewhat like lunch boxes, and the Canadian set came in a green plastic tray with a clear plastic cover. The U.S. set says WILDLIFE TREASURY CARDS on the box and the Canadian set says THE ILLUSTRATED WILDLIFE REFERENCE COLLECTION on the tray. Both sets are in English only and all pictures are in full color.
