ATLAS EDITIONS WAR AIRPLANE CARDS

Atlas Editions Warplane Cards were released between 1988 and 1993 through mail subscription only and have been completely out-of-print since 1993.  The cards measure 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 inches (15 x 15 cm) and they are printed on glossy card stock in full color (older airplane images are naturally in black and white).  The cards are copyrighted Edito-Service, S.A. Geneva and they are Printed in the USA.  The back of each card includes a great history of the featured Airplane or Helicopter including facts and specifications and the cards are in ENGLISH.  Although this set is officially called Warplanes, it includes many civilian planes, helicopters and also has some Ace Pilot cards which are about an historical person rather than a plane.  A wonderful set! These subscription cards were delivered to buyers by mail in "decks" sent every few weeks.  The buyer could then remit payment which would continue the subscription.  These cards were never sold as a complete set, only by subscribing could you accumulate some or all of the cards.  There are 103 decks with 20 cards in eack deck for a total of 2,060 cards.  The cards are all in NEAR MINT to MINT condition and they are all original printings from 1988 to 1993.  Cards are numbered D1 075 dd-cc (dd= Deck number 01 to 103 and cc= Card number 01 to 20 in each deck).
